  Chapter 81 - Challenging a Purple Rank

  Introduction: General of the Everlasting Wind was a general in a distant empire about 2000 years ago. Disagreeing with the cruel and atrocious emperor, he betrayed his country. Later, he was chased by the Imperial army to the East Coast where he used his long blade to massacre a thousand soldiers. In the end, he was imprisoned by a crafty black magician. His soul was broken into pieces and his body imprisoned within the Valley of the Everlasting Wind. After being imprisoned for such a long time, his natural temperament has changed and has been reduced to that of a murderous devil.

  Author Note: One of "s controls allows the setting of the skill level to be used to be decided by the player. For example, if a players can execute a Level 10 Combo, he or she can choose to use a Level 1 Combo or a Level 7 Combo etc. When activating the skill, the Level of use will appear in the box below.

  In the glow of the three continuous [Heals], the monk"s HP is pulled back up. With tears, he raises his steel rod and aims for the boss, but it barely does anything with an attack damage of under 100.

  But the thing that breaks my heart is that I still don"t have the boss"s aggro. The ranged attacks from behind are way too strong and I immediately chase after the boss who"s charging towards the backline. I check my skills" cooldowns and my sword starts to emit a glow. Ice starts to swirl around my sword and I strike powerfully at the General"s back--[Fierce Ice Blade]!

  Indeed, the skills gained from the second promotion are strong. Frost starts to form on the boss"s armor and his speed is greatly decreased. The slowing effects from it are stronger than the ice spells from mages!

The two skills provide explosive damage and with the slow from [Fierce Ice Blade], the General bellows in frustration. He tries to kill me but can"t. Even though he has a level 6 [Combo], he"s a bit slow when it comes to using it and I can usually dodge the first strike. With that, a lot of my pressure is reduced.
  
  
  
  In the air, many high-leveled mages including Simple continuously cast freezing spells. On the tip of her staff, a curiously dangerous combination of fire and ice appear. In the next instant, the Level 40 skill [Pillar of Fire and Ice] casts!

  The long blade strikes my Dawn Breastplate, leaving behind a dent and forcing me to fall back a few meters. My Silver Locked Battle Boots fiercely slide to a stop against the grassy plain. Using both of my legs to send force towards my sword-hand, I activate [Strength of a Thousand Men] and attack the General of the Everlasting Wind"s forehead.
  
  "Keng! Keng! Keng!"
  
  A string of damage numbers fly out.
  
  Behind me, Simple leads the group of archers and musketeers to attack the boss using long range attacks. The Boss"s health drops quickly; a meagre 17% remains after 10 minutes of battle, even though the durability of my items are falling down at an astonishing rate; my Dawn Breastplate already lost 74% of its durability. But, I would"ve already paid the Grim Reaper a visit if not for the 9 healers continuously healing me.
