  I show the statistics of the fire skeleton to the public while putting the other green-ranked and black-iron tiered equipments onto the stall, and then yell on the top of my lungs, "A groundbreaking pet! Level 1 fire skeleton, 4 stars in attack, 4.5 stars in HP, 100% excellence! Even if you"re not buying come take a look, and spread the word! The highest bidder wins, the auction will only last for 30 minutes! There are also green-ranked and black-iron ranked equipments, if you want them hurry up and look!"
  
  
  
  After that yell, I instantly attract a large group of players, their main focus is the 100% excellence fire skeleton. I haven"t been to the city master of Ba Huang City recently, so I should check that place out. A lot of high level missions are given by those big shots, so there"s no harm in checking him out!
  
  With my Ancient Spear, I ran to the hall of the City Master. Unlike the first time I came here, this time, there were many players hanging around, all hoping for a quest and talking to every NPC in the city hall, they even talked to the servants sweeping the floor!
  
  
  
  I went up to Ba Huang City"s Master - Duke Luo Lei.

Then I immediately take my spear and go into the nearby forest, heading towards Phoenix Valley. Its located North-West of Ba Huang City, near the border and next to the ocean. The map is covered in a crimson color, so that means the monsters there have definitely have a higher level than me. Looking at it, it does seem like some place that NPCs would be in...
  
  
  
  I avoid the areas where I see monsters to keep a low profile. I release Baby Bobo out, and let him sit on my shoulder, curled into a ball. We hid our strength and another player would only see an ordinary player and his pet going through the forest. After a long journey of 50 minutes, I see a level 33 forest cheetah lying in some bushes, slightly further ahead. This dotted creature seemed very vicious, seems like I can"t just avoid them anymore.

  The ancient spear stabs through the neck of the forest cheetah. I continue on and see a small hill. After I slipping and tripping up the hill, I finally reach the top of the hill. Looking down, the scene below shocks me. In the large valley, I see NPC soldiers everywhere. Their camps are uncountable, and the battle horses whine constantly. Waves of knights in black armor pass through, with their battle flags flying the wind, on the flags are the emblems of Ba Huang City, same as the one on my shoulder. As long as you belong to Ba Huang City, both players and NPCs have the extra 3% in attack and in defense.
  
  
  
  As I go down the hill, I slip, and lose my footing, rolling down the hill and finally falling into a small river. Far away, a few NPC soldiers laugh, " Is that little brat an adventurer from Ba Huang City? He"s too clumsy!"
  
  
  
  I let the sneers of the NPC pass by me, and while holding my ancient spear, I walk deep into the army camps. At the middle, I find the largest tent within the entire camp, surrounded by guards holding swords. Before I even entered the tent, a few people take their swords and point them at me, "Halt! Who goes?"
  
  
  
  "I"m an ally!"
  
  
  
  I show them the emblem on my shoulder, and say, "I am an adventurer from Ba Huang City and under the commands of Duke Luo Lei, I"ve come here to find the General Pei!"
  
  
  
  "General Pei?" A guard asks suspiciously, "What"s your proof showing that you were sent by the duke?"
  
  
  
  I pull out the letter, and wave it around, "This, isn"t this enough?"
  
  
  
  The guards look at it for a second. The imperial stamp for Ba Huang city was on the outside of the letter.
  
  
  
  "Ok, that"s fine. Come with me!"
  
  
  
  He also shoots a glance at my spear, and shakes his head in disapproval, "These days, healers don"t use staffs but instead use spears, what is going on in the world?"

  I follow the guard into the huge tent. In the middle of the tent was a huge sand tray. Beside to the tray stands a person wearing fire-red armor, it"s General Pei!
  
  
  
  "General, this person says he has a letter for you from the duke!"
  
  
  
  "Oh?"
  
  
  
  Pei smiles a bit, and with his hands on his sheathed sword, he walks up to me and says, "Boy, although you"re an adventurer from Ba Huang City, you look pretty weak, I doubt you even have enough strength to tie up a chicken! How did you reach here? From what I know, the Phoenix Valley is surrounded by thorns and monsters, how can a little healer like you...not be eaten by those creatures?"
  
  
  
  I take out the letter, and smile, "If I didn"t get this letter to you, how can I possibly relax and be the food the creatures?"
  
  
  
  "Haha! Well said!"
  
  
  
  Receiving the letter, Pei"s face grew dark as he read the letter. He looks at me and says, "This letter seems to be for me, but in reality its for someone else. Do you know about this?"
  
  
  
  I shake my head, "I don"t know."
  
  
  
  Pei clenches his teeth, and punches the tray of sand, and mutters, "That selfish little brat!"
  
  
  
  "What"s wrong?" I ask.
  
  
  
  Pei"s face is full of anger, and says, "The duke Luo Lei is one of the country"s most respected warrior. He"s been in countless battles through his life, and the result is that he founded Ba Huang City. He has a son called Luo Lin. Luo Lin was born a genius. When he was 16, he has already been a well known soldier in the country"s special army school. When he was 17 he became a sky knight, and met few rivals. But, when he reached 19, he suddenly left Ba Huang City, disappointing everyone, including his father, and went to a place where no one is willing to go..."
  
  
  
  I"m surprised, "What place?"
  
  
  
  "The Frozen Wastelands..."
  
  
  
  "Frozen Wastelands?" I have no idea where that is.
  
  
  
  Pei nods and says, "Within the borders of Ba Huang City, even though there are many beasts that roam freely and many undead, its actually not that dangerous. But the area beyond these borders is called the Forbidden Land, where even star class swordsmen have lost their lives. It"s an extremely dangerous place. The brat, Luo Lin wanted to train and raise his skills, and went into the Frozen Wastelands alone. We don"t even know if he"s alive or dead. So I don"t even know if this letter can be send to the intended owner. Boy. I can"t let you go to the Frozen Wastelands just to get yourself killed!"
  
  
  
  I go silent for a moment and weigh the benefits and the consequences. After a couple seconds, I clench my fists, "It"s no problem. How can I give up without even trying?"
  
  
  
  Pei looks at me, and laughs, "Boy. Your attitude reminds me of my younger self back when I was still carefree and fearless. That"s fine, but you must show me your strength so I can trust that you can go alone in the Frozen Wastelands!"

  I get the mission and leave immediately. Summoning Baby Bobo, we head towards the south-west part of the Phoenix Valley. After about 5 minutes, the forests ahead suddenly turn into a fire-red color. We"ve reached the maple forest! The whole sky, full of falling maple leaves, make me want to just sit down and enjoy the sight. But further within the forest I see lines of smoke snaking out, and tents lined up one after another. Around each tent are 10 or so bandits.
  
  
  
  I inch my way forward, and check out the stats of the bandits--

  After [Combo] and [Stinger], the bandit"s health dropped over 700 points, but that"s not enough. A level 35 monster usually has 1700 or so HP, so they aren"t killed that easily.

  After being attacked, the lone bandit alerted the bandits around him, and quickly, the nearest bandit woke up and together they attacked Bobo!
  
  
  
  I don"t act arrogantly and quickly use [Hemostasis] to recover Baby Bobo"s health. At the same time, I ready my spear and help Bobo fight the bandits. After a couple rounds of brawling, the two bandits finally fall. But my mana is pretty much spent. Man, it takes a lot of effort to kill high leveled monsters.

Inside the grave were bronze cauldrons, but sadly they"re mostly broken, or else I would have sold it for a few gold pieces, and maybe I could have even gotten married."

  The bandits" levels are high, and the experience they give is obviously high as well. After 2 hours, I rose to level 28. At the same time, I killed a bunch of bandits, and they dropped log pages 1-6. I only need the last one.

  I can see a group of people approaching. In the front is Tyrant of Western Chu! When he sees my lone shadow, he could not help but laugh, "Xiao Yao, where are you going to hide this time? Nobody can help you now."

  The leaves next to Tyrant curved downwards even though nobody was stepping on them. It had to be Ageless Beauty, because invisibility didn"t mean that one wouldn"t be affect by their surroundings. An assassin"s stealth would be especially useless in water since the water would make ripples, clearly showing their position.
  
  
  
  When I look behind Tyrant of Western Chu I saw more than a hundred people. As a lone player, I have no chance against them.
  
  
  
  I turned around and ran through a thorny field. It would be a waste of time to respond to their nonsense. My main focus should be to finish the quest as quickly as possible and rush towards level 30. My [heal] skill has risen to level 4, which means it now heals 600 health, and Baby Bobo is almost able to solo a bandit at this point.

  A few shadows fly over me, and before I could respond, arrows started flying towards me.
  
  
  
  I try to dodge them, but I still end up getting hit by two of the arrows. I used [Hemostasis] to return to full health, before looking up and seeing three wind elf archers. The archer at the front sneers, "Xiao Yao, with us wind elves scouting, do you still think you can escape? Did you think that [Wrath of Heroes] would let you escape so easily?"
  
  
  
  I cry inside, I have no chance to escape from the wind elves; afterall, out of the 5 races, they are the only ones who can fly. They could control the situation with long ranged attacks, and Liu Ying had brought more than 10 of them with him.
  
  
  
  Behind me, Liu Ying and his men came running. I also knew that somewhere out there, Liu Ying"s lover, Ageless Beauty, was approaching to take my life.
  
  
  
  I clench my teeth, I knew that I had to let them attack first, but getting killed without returning something wasn"t my style. But if I waited for the attackers to attack me and have their names grayed, I could kill them without worrying that I would have a red name.

  Baby Bobo flies into the air, stinging one of the archers and instantly killing him. They had a grey status, since they had attacked but their attacks had not killed. Which meant they could be killed, without the killer getting chaotic, so Baby Bobo auto retaliated. He moved onto the next archer and made another hit.

  One of the main weaknesses of the Wind elves was that when they lost more than 20% of their max health, their wings would break, and thereby losing their flight ability.
  
  
  
  I rush forward with my ancient spear, stabbing directly into the abdomen of the archer. I dealt 237 points of damage, it was enough to successfully kill him.
  
  In the air Baby Bobo chases down the last wind elf, it doesn"t take long with his superior agility before he makes 2 normal attacks. The three wind elves had turned to ash as they died.

  All of us took a deep breath. This brutal battle had finally been concluded. I looked into the distance where the snow was dropping while frowning and said, "The quest indicator clearly shows it should be somewhere in this Frozen Wasteland, so it should appear somewhere..."
  
  Wan Er looks at the oceans of snow and says, "You want..us to come with you into the depths of this barren land?"

  Suddenly Dalin"s chains dance in the air and compacts the excrements before he starts dragging them towards Dragon city.
  
  
  
  I"m completely astonished, is this my duty?
  
  
  
  "Kid, don"t just stand around. That side has lots of frozen Wild Boar excrement, carry it away."

  Next to our camp is a huge pit where we threw the excrements. I flicked my staff through the air and the excrement looked magnificent as it entered the pit.

  The Beast tamer Dalin is almost drooling while looking at it: "Kid, this Ginseng Earthworm is very high quality food. In addition its one of the best foods to fight against the cold. Such a big Ginseng Earthworm can feed the entire Dragon city for a week."
  
  
  
  He firmly gripped his chains while staring at the mouthwatering Ginseng Earthworm. With a quick flourish, he pulled out some dried fish from his backpack: "Ginseng Earthworms have a fancy for fish, so I will lure it over here. You circle around it and ambush it, but be careful to not let it escape down into the hole. Once it"s down in the earth its as agile as a fish in the water and impossible to catch."
  
  
  
  I nod as I raise my staff and call Baby Bobo to circle around the worm.
  
  
  
  Dalin quickly runs up the hill and drops the fish before concealing himself. Less than half a minute later the heavy earthworm has waddled over and began stuffing himself with the fish. Suddenly Dalin jumps up towards it and yells: "This time you will not escape!"
  
  
  
  Chu!
  
  
  
  The iron chains pierce directly into the Ginseng Earthworm and blood splatters in all direction. Its making an endless struggle and wriggles in an attempt to get free, before finally a snapping sound is heard. It had torn its own body through the iron chain and escaped. It took a huge chunk of damage, but that didn"t stop it from rushing towards me and the hole.
  
  
  
  "COME ON, GET IT!"
  
  I cross my staff as I prepare to encounter it, meanwhile I command baby bobo to rush towards it. Baby Bobo immediately uses Combo and deals over a 1000 points of damage. Hmm the defense of the worm isn"t even decent.
  
  
  
  "Good, kid, stop it, STOP IT!" Dalin yells as he prepares to throw his chains again.
  
  The Ginseng Earthworm is desperately rushing forward, I attempt to stop it, but it simply bashes me away. Baby Bobo is still furiously attacking and even though the worm"s defense is low and it only has around a total of 5000 health, we were unable to kill it in such a limited time period.
  
  
  
  Ka ka......
  
  
  
  In a blink of an eye the Ginseng Earthworm is back in the ground and gone. The chance was gone. You could hear how disappointed and bitter Baby Bobo was from his buzzing.
  
  
  
  ......
  
  
  
  Shortly afterwards me and Dalin both stand in front of the hole. Dalin is looking quite sad and disappointed as he says: "Damn, it actually escaped, such a shame............. Kid, it"s not your fault............"
  
  
  
  I purse my lips: "I didn"t say that it was my fault..."
  
  
  
  "Alright, there are a few giant boars up ahead, we will hunt those. As the winter draws closer, our employed convoys are often intercepted by either wild animals or bandits, so we cannot depend on them. We have to gather supplies ourselves.This is why we hunt."

I think the last time a Dragon was seen was 500 years ago in the war of empires. Maybe Dragons have since then lost the god"s blessing and become a fable to never appear again."
  
  
  
  I took a deep breath and stayed slight. Looks like I wouldn"t get the chance to fight a Dragon.

  We continued forward and soon encountered huge boars at the forest"s edge. Dalin was the main attack force, while I supported him. Less than 15 seconds later the boars drops to the ground disturbing a huge cloud of dust.
  
  
  
  "Even though this meat is very tough, it"s also quite a treasure in winter times."
  
  
  
  Dalin throws his chains around the porcupine and drags it back to the camp. When we arrived there were already more than a dozen black armored Dragon warriors waiting. One of the men with a bunch of excrements in one hand, turned around respectfully asking: " Dalin, did you find some more food?"
  
  
  
  Dalin lays down the boar: "Yeah, its around a 500 kilo boar, you may take it. After all there is nothing like bacon, and a pot of wine in the winter. That is the good life."

  Dalin laid down inside his ripped tent, enjoying the little extra sheltering and warm it gives.
  
  
   I walked away with my Baby Bobo, it was time to solo hunt.
