Rain is patting on the roof.
Rumbling thunder"s in aloof.
An old fox got to the cabin.
Keeps his vigil their granny.
At the window"s oil lantern.
"Beacon" station softly sings.
Heavy fir-tree paws are rustling
Trifled, just for fun, by wind.
Shoulders of the old oaks
Faint silence gently shawls.
Chimney lets sparks out, fierce,
For dark blue night to be pierced.
There is puffing copper teapot.
Talk resounds in the air:
His grandchildren fishing there,
On the river, wait for dawn.
