2 years ago we have submitted a letter to UN Human Rights Committee
in
Montreal, requesting to evaluate the legality and nature of Canadian
Immigration's decision in our case. Since then we received no answer,
and consider this unacceptable.
If such an evaluation can not be done, then we want to ask you to
explain us in writing, why. Regarding our situation, a letter with such
explanation must be sent to us as soon as possible.
Let us remind you that issuing us Israeli immigration visas and
accepting us in Israel, Israeli government has confiscated our passports
of Kazahstan, artificially creating a situation, in which we have lost
our citizenship of Kazahstan. Then they made us, adults, their
second-class citizens (indicating our nationality in internal passports
- "teudat zehuts" - as non-Jews), and denied Israeli citizenship to our
children (based on racist Law of Return). In this way they have made our
children stateless, depriving them of the protection, benefits and rights,
which Israeli citizens have.
My older son was then taken to the compulsory military service in
Israeli
Jewish army, in spite of the fact that he's stateless and Christian.
In term to depart from Israel with our younger son, we were forced
to
obtain a false document for him. Only so we could flee Israel.
We don't mention now discrimination and persecutions, to which we
were exposed in Israel. Even the Refugee Board did not doubt about
our statement. However, we were denied the refugee status in Canada.
We have presented tons of undeniable evidence, documents and
facts. They did not impress Immigration. They were simply ignored.
In Canada, where Israel and Jewish organizations have a status quo,
it was practically impossible to win a case before the refugee board
or in the Federal court. Our only hope was to rely on the Humanitarian
appeal and the Risk of Return. In the past these 2 immigration programs
were avaluated seperately.
Now, instead of responding to our humanitarian appeal, which we made
around 2 years ago, Immigration has decided to play with the Risk
of Return, probably in term to justify an eventual deportation.
If your organization will not respond to SUCH a case as ours, with
a
clear presence of violation of our rights and international standards by
the State of Israel and by (infected through Jewish influence) Canadian
Immigration, then what's your function and authority?
