Аннотация: The call for the need of social change towards people with autism.
What is our society now and what is the place of disabled people in it?
Definitely, now society is accustomed to showing tolerance to disabled people.
Nevertheless, what are the boundaries of this tolerance?
Only visible disability.
People see a wheelchair and understand that it is time for tolerance.
Visible disability is an engine for society arranging and implementing the conditions that are comfortable for minorities.
However, it is all different when an inability is unapparent.
How does society understand when to show tolerance to people with autism?
The only way to detect this kind of disability - to communicate.
This way, people should normally detect a disability and should start treating them appropriately. Start being tolerable.
Disappointedly, it often does not happen.
Society still does not treat people with autism with enough tolerance.
When an unemployment rate among them is about 90%.
When children are often rejected to attend kindergartens with all other else because of their "unusual" behavior.
When special groups at schools for them are not implemented or, even if so, only a limited amount of children are able to attend them because of an extremely high cost. Education must be available to every single person despite the any diagnosis.
The number of people with autism spectrum disorder is increasing every year, but our society is not ready for that. Many people do not know how to treat them.
Many people are not ready for unusual employees in their companies or extraordinary children in kindergarten groups or on school classes.
Little is made to welcome them in this world.
Little is made to provide them with comfortable conditions of working and studying environment.
Now is high time we made our society suitable for everyone.
