As well, such a project may give thousands of tons of products and fertilizers received in accordance with "green technologies" from floating settlements in coastal area of countries of this region which will be cooperated with similar floating settlements in Sargasso sea region.
What are the features of waste collection and processing in coastal waters?
The most important differences are
In these regions, complete calm is rare and typhoons and storms often come there.
Garbage is dispersed over the area and does not concentrate in close-packed spots.
It needed to be collected over a large area.
There are no large algae plantations in these areas.
This results in specific requirements both for the technological scheme used and for the technique used.
Littoral agricultural rafts should be located either in natural bays or under the protection of breakwaters.
Coastal farm rafts must work in close partnership with the floating settlements of the Sargasso Sea, as broun algae is needed for them both to complete waste processing and as an additional component to produce feed concentrates for farm animals and fish.
The houseboat-gatherer must capture a strip of at least twenty to thirty meters when moving.
The best option would be shuttle flights between coastal rafts and floating settlements of the Sargasso Sea, during which, along with the delivery of algae concentrate from the Sargasso Sea, garbage is collected and primary processed.
To fulfillment such requirements, adaptation of previously proposed equipment and technologies is required.
Firstly, a houseboat must withstand stormy weather of at least 6-7 points.
Secondly, its speed during the garbage gathering should be at least 10-12 knots.
When it moving towards the coast, there must be in the inner and outer tanks of houseboat a sufficient amount of algae concentrate.
To meet these requirements, hulls of houseboat and its auxiliary raft must have sufficient strength and load capacity, and combined propulsion and internal consumers of houseboat must receive at least 200kW from solar panels during relative calm or it must receive during windy and cloudy weather at least 50kW from wind generators.

The widened strip of the garbage collection is provided by a direct-flow trawl, the shape of which is maintained by flexible pipes perforated on the inside, into which the water flow is supplied from water turbines-leaders.
Water jets from the nozzle of the leader-turbine and from the perforations of the pipes direct the garbage to the unit, which performs the primary crushing and collection of plastic debris.
The fish caught in the trawl and shredded together with garbage is detached in a separator in the form as a protein paste, after that it is mixed with a paste of algae and dried to the state of granulated animal feed.
During a storm, the leader-turbines and perforated pipes are took into their tubular cases, and the trawl is fixed on a bulldozer blade raised from the water

The Houseboat, garbage collector is work together (connected with a tow hitch) with the Houseboat, power station.
In calm weather (with a wave height of no more than one meter), the power plant, in addition to sliding solar panels on the roof, is able to pull out pontoons with folding solar panels and to charge batteries.
Pontoons with solar panels are pulled from the Houseboat power plant or stacked back with a retractable monorail hoist (monrail hoist not shown in the picture)
Each houseboat has cockpits designed for off line comfortable living for a long time of three people and, in a houseboat collector, a closed ecosystem capable to provide them with food and drinking water for an unlimited time.
The figure shows the solar panels on the roof in the folded position.
In the houseboat-collector, on the roof of the rear cockpit there is a solar degrader and repair machine shop (machines not shown in the figure).
At the rear of the houseboat-collector there is a retractable ramp-veranda.
