As for the Union of Lublin, 226 years passed from July 4, 1569 to October 24, 1795.
And if we count from 1385 (the year of the Union of Krewo - a personal union between the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Poland), then 410 years passed until 1795.
So, if someone made an attempt, focusing attention on the historical facts that took place in the period from September 1, 1939 to October 21, 1963, to discredit the glorious four-hundred-year history, then such attempts would look completely helpless and naive.
We, also, could recall almost two decades of a normal life, of a human life in the 20th century - until September 1, 1939. (The lack of the charms of collectivization - it's alone - was worth a lot).
