Chinese yuan and Siberian ready-to-eat food. A story.
Lyosha Stroganov lived in the settlement of Laketree, near the border with China.
He did well in school, and the school principal sent Lyosha to the School of Young Entrepreneurs to gain additional knowledge.
Lyosha acquired a lot of useful knowledge at this School. The lectures by the rector of a Moscow university were especially necessary. This scientist clearly explained to the young entrepreneurs what a huge opportunities there are in the Russian and Chinese markets.
Lyosha regularly listened to radio broadcasts with the participation of the Moscow rector. It was clear from these broadcasts that ready-made food from Russia is very popular in China.
The settlement of Laketree was located on the shore of a lake rich in fish. Locals traditionally cooked delicious products from fish and dough, and these people even sold their products at the local bazaar.
"This is a huge potential for successful activity in the Chinese food market!" Lyosha thought.
Meanwhile, the young student Min Yu began to study Russian language and Russian culture.
He turned out to be a smart student, and after his first year he received a scholarship named after Griboyedov.
There was a ready-to-eat food store not far from the campus where Min Yu lived. Before receiving the Griboyedov's scholarship, Min Yu bought locally made (Chinese) products at a ready-to-eat store. It cost 100 yuan per 1 kilogram.
But after he was awarded the Griboyedov's scholarship, Min Yu began buying analogous products 'from Russia' at a local ready-to-eat store, even though these products cost 125 yuan per 1 kilogram.
Min Yu had a friend who studied chemistry. One day, for the sake of interest, this friend conducted a spectral analysis of the food bought by Min Yu and was surprised. He shared his surprise with Min Yu. And Min Yu, then, told about the results of the spectral analysis to one competent person.
Lyosha Stroganov conducted an online search for Chinese stores selling ready-to-eat food 'from Russia'. He, Lyosha, is ready to supply high-quality ready-to-eat food to China!
The head of one of the stores expressed a polite interest. The response from China inspired Lyosha.
At this time, Lyosha often listened to the songs: "My thoughts are my horses-jampers!" "Moscow - the bells are ringing!" "... The wind is behind my shoulders...!".
In a good mood (after listening to these songs) Lyosha came to a local generally-useful public organization and said that he intended to develop a domestic business and to earn great sums of yuan.
Lyosha was met with understanding and support. In a generally-useful public organization, Lyosha gained a name of bank and a surname of bank employee to receive a loan.
Lyosha didn't really want to take a loan, he had some doubts.
But he heard the song: "Fence, dodge, dance, retreat..." Especially Lyosha was inspired by the words of this song in Russian (? and in French) "Why not?!"
Soon the money was in the hands of Lyosha. He had to pledge the family house on the lake shore to receive a loan.
The Chinese store did not object to Lyosha's arrival in China with a shipment of goods.
Lyosha started organizing a new business - to produce the first batch of ready-to-eat food.
Reality turned out to be a little more complicated than the ideas that Lyosha had.
There were not enough people ready to start making ready-to-eat food from local fish and local dough. Due to the rapid development of new tourist destinations, demographic changes took place in the settlement of Laketree. The houses of local residents were passing to new owners, who created guest (tourist) houses with local specifics (folklore songs and dances).
Fishing, cooking, freezing, transporting - all, all, all - everything that seemed simple (at first) turned out to be very difficult.
There was nowhere to retreat to. And a retreat is not among of habits of locals of Siberia.
As a result, Lyosha arrived in China with a mobile refrigerator for cars and one kilogram of ready-to-eat food from Russia. He came to a Chinese ready-to-eat store (with which he corresponded via the Internet).
Unfortunately, the store's management changed: the results of a spectral analysis (conducted by the chemistry student - the friend of Min Yu), gave an unexpected result.
The new store management showed a some hospitality and allowed Lyosha to hold a trial sale of ready-to-eat food from Russia in the store.
Lyosha placed his product on a shelf next to analogous products from other manufacturers, and Lyosha himself stood next to it.
The cost and price of 1 kilogram of the experimental batch - of 1 kilogram of ready-to-eat food delivered by Lyosha out of Russia, - was difficult to determine due to the fact that many surprises arose on the path of a novice entrepreneur, which, in theory, should not have arisen.
Anyway, the price would be at least (not less) 300 yuan per 1 kilogram.
That's the price Lyosha set.
Soon, student Min Yu appeared next to the corresponding shelf. He took a ready-to-eat product (made in New Zealand) (analogous to the product delivered by Lyosha) from the shelf.
"Why don't you take this product?" Lyosha asked the customer (that is, Min Yu) in all the languages known to Lyosha. Lyosha pointed to the good he had brought. - "A very good quality! A ready-to-eat food from Russia is known to be very popular in China!"
Min Yu politely pointed to the prices (per 1 kilogram): 300 yuan (product brought by Lyosha) and 150 yuan (analogous goods from New Zealand).
Min Yu realized that he was looking at an entrepreneur from Russia, and said in Russian: "Gogol is a great writer! "Dead souls"! A bird-troika! It's good!"
"Yes! Yes!" Lyosha replied enthusiastically.
After returning to his native settlement, Lyosha successfully talked at various meetings about his trip to China. He was informing listeners, that the Russian culture and the Russian language very popular in China.
He replaced his house (Lyosha signed a contract after returning) with a modest but comfortable flat (although this flat was not on the shore of his native lake).
Lyosha is going to apply for government positions and to become a responsible employee for China at the Ministry of Foreign Trade. If he doesn't have enough education, he will go to study under the management of the very Moscow rector who inspired him to start a business. After six years of study (under the guidance of the Moscow rector), Lyosha has a chance to become an expert on China.
Min Yu is planning to travel to Murmansk to see the Northern Lights, to practice in Russian language, and to try (to taste) Russian food.
Perhaps a tour group (with Min Yu) will pass through Moscow, and Lyosha Stroganov will study there (in Moscow), and they will meet at a Moscow ready-to-eat store.
It will be a good opportunity to practice in a speaking language - in Russian and in Chinese.
