Several times in our miniatures, we mentioned Igor Sikorsky - a scientist, inventor, entrepreneur, who in revolutionary times (in 1918-1919) left the territory of the former Russian Empire and organized an advanced high-tech aviation company in the United States.
It would seem that Sikorsky has become the property of history.
But no.
When we received another piece of news from Belarus after the incident with the plane flying on the Athens-Vilnius route, we learned that in the Republic of Belarus Artème Sikorsky is the Director of the Aviation Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
What can we learn about Artème Sikorsky? His biography, presented on the Internet, is very laconic.
First, Artème Sikorsky is not an entrepreneur (and he does not have any entrepreneurial experience). He is a bureaucrat, a manager.
Secondly, after a brief acquaintance with the materials on the state of the aviation industry in Belarus, one could think that this industry in the period from September 2018 (when Artème Sikorsky took office) to May 2021 (the incident with the arrest of Protasevich and Sapega and processes which were later) developed quite well. Apparently, some merit in achieving the positive dynamics of the aviation industry in Belarus belongs to Artème Sikorsky.
More or less confidently, it can be argued that Artem Sikorsky didn't participate in the organization of the incident with the Athens-Vilnius plane.
Like all top managers of the Belarusian aviation industry, Artème Sikorsky is now facing the fact, he see disastrous results - what was achieved by his personal efforts and the efforts of many people from the aviation industry of Belarus was destroyed in one second due to a primitive worldview, becouse of a stupidity and foolish actions of some figures who do not able to look over beyond a few steps.
And what should he, Artème Sikorsky, do now?
Under the conditions of Lukashenka's regime, he does what all the other representatives of the highest Minsk bureaucracy do. There are press conference materials and photographs from these press conferences.
