Let's say that at the first All-Union Congress of Soviet Writers, everyone liked the phrase "Writers are engineers of human souls." And now it could be updated: "Writers are highly qualified personnel of literary factories and media plants." But there is an element of controversy and discussion in this update. This thesis would not fit into the style of the interview.
What else? Many writers were associated with the Literary Institute. Many people studied there. Or at least they were sitting on the couch (... they published 'Kolokol' magazine in London...).
Actually, I liked the interview. I listened more and more. It is clear that Leo Tolstoy did not study at the Literary Institute (but, on the other hand, at least one person, who wrote and published a book about Leo Tolstoy, works at this Institute).
Has Leo Tolstoy ever been to this mansion? Somehow, Leo Tolstoy wasn't recalled in this interview. (I hope I heard everything correctly.)
