The Monologue about some the monuments from Zurab Tsereteli. Series 2

The Monologue about some the monuments from Zurab Tsereteli. Series 2

By coincidence of circumstances on the same day after writing of "A monologue about some monuments from Zurab Tsereteli" I read article concerning Tsereteli's 85 anniversary - on the website of the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta".

"One of his latest works was open quite recently - on December 18. It is the monument to Alexander Solzhenitsyn in Kislovodsk. The monument was established near the house where the writer spent childhood. The sculpture was given by the author as a gift to the city of Kislovodsk".

There is an Internet reference. I pass according to it: "What the monument is?".

Some not a clear photo and text: "A week later with small after century since the birth of the writer, the Nobel Prize laureate on literature Alexander Solzhenitsyn, a monument for him it is opened on the small homeland - in Kislovodsk where the author of "the GULAG Archipelago", "Matryona's Place", "One day of Ivan Denisovich" was born on December 11, 1918. The Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko ... participated in a ceremony".

There was an aspiration - better to look: what it for a monument.

I type in the search bar: "monument to Solzhenitsyn in Kislovodsk."

In the list of the found information materials, - on the first page, - appear, for example:

"Picket against installation of a monument to Solzhenitsyn in Kislovodsk".

"The disputable monument to Solzhenitsyn was established on the City Day..."

"Residents of Kislovodsk demanded not to establish a monument..."

"Residents of Kislovodsk demanded not to establish a monument to Solzhenitsyn. ... citizens expressed extreme indignation of the fact..."

"Open letter of residents of Kislovodsk: We against a monument..."

"Terrible and ridiculous called a new monument to Solzhenitsyn..."

"In Kislovodsk of Stavropol Krai locals called "ridiculous and poor" a new monument to Solzhenitsyn..."

Somehow involuntarily there is an interest: why the monument is called "terrible"?

"Many inhabitants especially confused by the Solzhenitsyn monument's hands - some people compared them to frog legs and tentacles of aliens."

"And the monument looks terribly and ridiculously: about his fingers better and not to think. What is only created in the heads of the people who thought up it?" - the indignant residents of Kislovodsk write.

Indeed, the naked eye can see the huge and long fingers of the monument to Solzhenitsyn. Who only not make comparison of fingers and monument with whom: with Professor Dumbledore from "Harry Potter" ... and even with reptiloid from an other planet".

Both quoted articles are dated the September, 2018.

But in the "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" it is told about the opening of a monument in December, 2018!

  Some ambiguity!

I specify inquiry: "opening of a monument to Solzhenitsyn in Kislovodsk".

It seems, the same monument. Really, an action - in December, 2018.

Why some publications are dated the September, 2018. Other ones - the December, 2018? Probably, there are to that an explanations.

In one of articles I read: "In a sculptural portrait of work of Z.K. Tsereteli A.I. Solzhenitsyn is represented in a funeral shroud as a reminder that his mortal life was on a hair from death many times. The long shirt, falling from shoulders, with a deaf collar, creates an image of the greatest humility, concentration and silence at enormous internal tension.

The large role in a portrait is played by hands. Almost connected, but not closed fingers of hands of A.I. Solzhenitsyn strengthen a representation about a hard internal work. A deep wrinkle on a forehead - it's the sign of enduring pain for the homeland.

The monument is created in bronze, his height - 3.5 meters. The sculpture is established on a granite pedestal on which the quote from the "Autobiography" of A. I. Solzhenitsyn is, which set out by the writer at the request of the Nobel Committee in 1970: "Even the events which already happened to us we almost never can estimate and realize immediately. Especially the course of events of a future is unpredictable and surprising for us".

It is truly noticed! Whether you will be able correctly to estimate and realize demonstration - as monument element - a funeral shroud? Shortly before a joyful holiday - New Year? I will refrain from comments ...

(Why "Almost connected, but not closed fingers of hands of A.I. Solzhenitsyn strengthen a representation about a hard internal work ..."? And if they had connected, closed? Some fingers had touched others ones? Such a variant of events cannot be excluded? And what then? What would be?)

If to someone length and a shape of fingers seem strange, then, sorry, I on this matter will refrain to speak. After all, joyful New Year's holidays proceed. There is no wish even to think of bad ...

To joke about Alexander Isayevich? O-o-oh ... All the people have as a pluses so a minuses ...
