The State Department called the purpose of the Russian military in Venezuela: the help with S-300

MOSCOW, 29 Mar - RIA Novosti. The Russian military arrived to Venezuela to restore work of air defense systems of S-300, the special representative of the USA to Venezuela Elliot Abrams considers. His speech is published on Twitter of State Department.
As Abrams said, experts intend to adjust functioning of complexes after large-scale blackout in the country.

Brazil urged Russia to recall the military from Venezuela

MOSCOW, 29 Mar - RIA Novosti. The Russian military have to leave Venezuela if they are directed for support of the regime of the president Nicolás Maduro there. This was stated in an interview with Reuters, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Brazil Ernesto Araújo.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also considers, that Russia realizes that the support of Maduro leads to a deepening of social and economic crisis in Venezuela, which can be overcome only by elections with the leading role of the provisional government led by the self-proclaimed president Juan Guaidó.
