The worldview of the literary trench, a holey unfit network. The essay on modern Russial literature.

Still some representatives from journalists of past times have been preserved. A person works on the radio and thinks: 'What would be relevant to present in a broadcast?'

What do you think - what? Well ... If the parade is coming soon, it is natural to put a military topic on the agenda. About a "military prose"!

The radio host is calling a well-known literary critic, deputy chief editor of a thick journal. This magazine has a large (long) history and a loud title (received from the past).

Radio listeners - those who are more energetic - are frantically looking for shovels for additional cleaning of their ears - so as not to miss a single sound.

While there is a search for shovels, we will digress for a second from the radio program and will ask the question: why is a military prose interesting?

This theme is interesting because in Russia there are a lot of people in uniform, Russia, even in the so-called peace time, more or less often participates in various events ...

And therefore it is interesting: what do a such people think, how do people act in battles, during hostilities (before battles, after battles).

We return to the broadcast (apparently, the shovels are found and are on alert).

The radio host is trying, asking questions, she is proposing topics for discussion ...

The conversation revolves around a so named the "lieutenants' prose". We heard about the "lieutenants' prose" (already)...

People are become often especially interesting ones when they personally participated in battles, have awards, have literary abilities and raise the bar as high as possible - they directly or indirectly evaluate the activities of the Supreme Commander ...

From the bottom of the trench, the tradition of defeats, which ultimately led to the Peace Treaty of Brest-Litovsk (the Treaty of Brest) (1918), is not very visible. And after the Peace Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, for example, there was still the Soviet-Finnish War of 1939-1940 ...

Some politicians feared that after the first defeats (in the event of a war with Germany), events would follow a familiar trajectory and lead to the Treaty of Brest -2.

Many events and phenomena have a centuries-old history, about which "ordinary" lieutenants were simply not ready to write.

But in addition to the lieutenants' prose, there were also memoirs of high-ranking military leaders and leaders of the rear. Why is nothing about this prose in the broadcast?

The lieutenants' prose is more understandable - apparently ...

So, about half of the program is dedicated to the lieutenants' prose ...

Everyone has the right to creativity, to self-expression, but how many years has the 'lieutenants' prose' been discussed? The deputy editor-in-chief, a well-known critic, boasted that some work was published back in 1946 ... Those who started the discussion have probably passed away ... But the topic does not disappear ...

Why do a readers need a thick magazine?

If until 1991 thick magazines differed in quality (one from another), but they made an impression of peculiar networks catching literary talents, now these magazines (as well as a talents) are generally not particularly visible and they are inaudible. And some readers generally do not understand why they, these magazines, are needed.

If a magazine is a network for capturing literary talents, then where are these talents?

Yet since 1991, a significant number of armed conflicts have occurred. A number of conflicts involved people in uniform. If there are epaulets, then in 95 percent of cases there is a higher education and literacy ... It seems that someone from the former ministers, from retired generals wrote books - why not discuss such books?

I read one author, but the feeling remained unpleasant. He wrote not badly. But the general orientation is far from the traditions of Leo Tolstoy... And where is this literary man now? They say he emigrated... I don't remember - what is his title (military level)... Private, sergeant?...

So ... Where are the names, where is the new material?

The deputy editor-in-chief informs radio listeners about a certain modern resident of the city of Rostov-on-Don who wrote something. But not about Rostov-on-Don, but about Stalingrad.

Maybe, if not him, then one of his relatives fought in Stalingrad? ...

The plot is presented on behalf of a Romanian who lived in an apartment in Stalingrad ...

Romanian soldier? He lived in an apartment? In Stalingrad? During the war? Was a work written on his behalf?

Is it possible that the descendants of the Romanians (who fought in Stalingrad) can live in Rostov-on-Don?

The Rostov author spoke about Stalingrad on behalf of a Romanian soldier and received the prize of a fat magazine.

And that's all??? Are these all the new names? Are these are the all literary talents, who were caught, seized by a fat magazine?

Nothing a noticeable concerning a modern works, except for this option, there was left in memory after the broadcast.

Naturally, the radio host and the well-known critic remembered Tolstoy's 'War and Peace', added the works by Vladimir Bogomolov to the lieutenants' prose (this seems to be an oversimplification - it's the same thing as to look at 'War and Peace' as at a sample, as at example of the "poruchiks' prose") [Poruchik is an officer rank (of the lieutenant's level); Leo Tolstoy had an officer rank of poruchik in Sevastopol ]...

So the program was quietly completed ...

The feeling of complete insignificance ... The insignificance of modern "Russial literature", the insignificance of a thick magazine ...

And why a readers, a society need such a thick magazine? For a hope? May be, he, this thick magazine, like an epic hero, will lay on the stove for 33 (333) years, and then he will rise up to his full height and will show everyone how great he ...

The feeling of complete zero ...

Modern "Russial literature" (and modern "Russial military prose") are equal to zero ... Such is the (subjective) impression after the broadcast ...
