The Name of this man have been damned by the rulers of the regions
and provinces. 3 countries* are disputing the right to get rid of
him: each one is trying to send him to another one.
The Kremlin "mountains-folk" called him "clown"... The present
dictator of his native country became his enemy. Avoiding to name
him, one of the leading newspapers of the former Great Empire
briefly mentionned his "actions". Main newspapers of another
country, where he was deported by his native one, called him "enemy
number one", and the state radio - "vicious troublemaker, an inspirer
of the sub-inter-ethnical hatred". A leading Russian paper of that
small country called to leave no "stone on stone" fron his works...
In Canada a Federal Minister's lawyer, speaking in the Federal
Court, characterized him as almost a terrorist, and the "National
Post" newspaper - fighting back in responce to his essays -
published a deceptive and vicious statement, ignoring his
letters with a confutation.
He's boycotted, deprived of the right to speak, isolated from
the Russian-speaking communities in different countries, from
Russian readers.
In spite of his publications in a dozen
of countries in English, Russian, POlish, German, and French
languages, no Russian newspaper in Canada** will ever publuish nor
just his essaym but even his personal add.
So, who's he - a "terrorist", an inspirer of hatred, or a victim
of horrible organizations and the most inhuman politicians?

* - Quebec has played a major (positive) role in Lev Gunin's and
his family fate. Thousands of Quebecers gave them help and
sipport. Gratfullness must be expressed to leaders of all 3
political parties in Quevec: Lucienne Bouchard, Mario Dumont and
Jean Charet, as well as to provoncial and federal deputies for their
warm atittude and help in resolving Gunins' immigration collision.
Also Montreal police officers from the police station at Mont-Royal
area did a lot for this family.
** - One exclusion: newspaper "Our Canada" published his essay
on multiplication in issue number 13 (!)
