Vladimir Vasilievich returned to Rostov-on-Don from Central Asia (from a mine located in remote desert regions of Kazakhstan).
He once mentioned that he - as the son of a disabled person from the Great Patriotic War, - he had the right not to travel from Rostov-on-Don to (for) mandatory work after institute), - but family patriotic sentiments and other factors prompted him to make this trip.
His friends, who had told him about the attractive prospects of "tiger hunting" in Central Asia, meanwhile had not left Rostov-on-Don and were getting jobs at a Higher Party School. At this School, they had the opportunity to receive apartments, scarce cars (cars were easy to sell - little later - with a noticeable profit) and other benefits.
Vladimir Vasilievich got a job at a research institute, where he became the head of the department.
At that time, he got married.
He hardly told about his work at this institute. A few of his words confirmed the good attitude towards him among the staff of the Research Institute. But his wife (my mother) recalled very attractive offers from the leadership of the Research Institute addressed to him.
There is also one (or several) photograph left, taken, it seems, in the GDR. This photo suggests that the Research Institute provided an opportunity to travel abroad (although in Eastern European countries).
But, apparently, the "civilizational baggage" of Vladimir Vasilievich's parents played a role.
What is a research institute? The role of Gleb Krzhizhanovsky in the development of Soviet science was not emphasized at that time or now.
The "university" is something serious. This is a universe-level phenomenon. "University" is from the Latin word.

Gradually, Vladimir Vasilievich goes to work at the university.
Initially, the university was located in buildings in the city center.
How can a person who graduated from a polytechnic institute and worked at a remote mine for several years before joining a research institute "to enter the university"?
I have almost no information on this period. I remember only the wordcombination "old physics faculty" repeated several times by Vladimir Vasilievich. Once, Vladimir Vasilievich mentioned some kind of extension to the "main building", the construction of which (of extension) he carried out (fulfilled), relying on his own organizational skills and persuasive abilities.
Well, a young man should show himself to scientific masters immersed in the depths of scientific knowledge....
Apparently, the beginning of Vladimir Vasilievich's contacts with the Military-Industrial Commission under the Council of Ministers of the USSR dates back to the same period.
He claimed that he was the first university employee who entered into contact. This attracted widespread attention, as the university was based on the state budgetary funding, and all the university employees received centrally set rates (salaries). The "khozdogovor" ('economic contract') was a kind of separate study (or complex research) on a specific topic (or scientific field). "Khozdogovor" ('economic contract') meant the contractual price of scientific research work.
At this time, Vladimir Vasilievich had a new boss.
The new boss authoritatively recommended to strength the management of khozdogovor topics: he recommended a "competent person" to help Vladimir Vasilievich.
There were reflections (of light) of the legendary history and of the Moscow power on the boss, so Vladimir Vasilievich considered it best not to contradict the new boss.
For some time, Vladimir Vasilievich worked in tandem with this "competent person."
The new boss, after Khrushchev's perturbations, tried to find the right tone when working in a new position.

(One of Vladimir Vasilievich's acquaintances recalled that at first the new boss greeted visitors by getting up (out) from the table, walking towards the visitors, shaking hands and encouraging the visitor with affectionate words).
The "competent person" had a close relative.
This close relative traveled with Vladimir Vasilievich on business trips and lived with him in hotels in the same room. (Of course, a busy person needs an assistant on business trips.)
When Vladimir Vasilievich wrote his PhD thesis, this close relative began to speak both privately and publicly, discrediting (criticizing, questioning) Vladimir Vasilievich's dissertation.
Recalling this situation, Vladimir Vasilievich was showing with his palms the thickness of the folio he had compiled to respond to the criticism of this close relative (relative of a "competent person.")

Before getting out of the car, the "competent person" said: "I'm not going to continue working with you, Vladimir Vasilievich."

Relying on bureaucratic tricks, the "competent person" translated the "khozdogovors" ('economic contracts') into his own name.
In general, in the initial period of his scientific activity, Vladimir Vasilievich relatively easily coped with the obstacles that arose.
Vladimir Vasilievich "fought off" a close relative of a "competent person" (the critic, reviewer of a prepared dissertation) with a huge, thick folio.
He defended against a "competent person" with the help of own reputation in the Military Industrial Commission.: he signed new "khozdogovors" ('economic contracts') in own name and continued own research in the scientific field.
The creation of (1) an"attacking, assault group" of "people's control," (2) a support group made up of an energetic and invulnerable company of slanderers, detractors who provided "people's control" with constant reasons for years of inspections; they were creating the necessary social background, too, (3) a recruiting (for) the Oblast committee of the CPSU and other structures of a useful personnel - all this was ahead (in future).
In my opinion, contacts with the Military-Industrial Commission, as well as the very status of ' activity (work) for defense ' and the duration of the attacks required access to the level of the Politburo - for cover ('for roof').
The Soviet state has shown its ambiguity.
If you have the ability for scientific activity and you have patriotic inclinations, then the Military Industrial Commission can give you the opportunity to carry out relevant activities.
At the same time, other structures will create opportunities for taking away (for withdrawal) from the founder of the scientific field of "profitable scientific business".
Perhaps the Military Industrial Commission had already accumulated some experience by the time Vladimir Vasilievich started his work.
He recalled that during one of his trips to Moscow, a man was assigned to him (by his bosses) (his last name was approximately Ukupov, or maybe with an "a"), who went with him to the Military-Industrial Commission. It was one of the representatives of the bureaucracy - the "maintainer" had nothing to do with a science.
They did not want to let this "maintainer" through the entrance - the people with whom Vladimir Vasilievich dealt did not order a pass (a document to pass through entrance) for the this "maintainer".
Vladimir Vasilievich was walking through the corridors, trying 'to open the door' for this man. The people from the Military Industrial Commission did not want to let this "maintainer" in. Apparently, there was some experience. Vladimir Vasilievich had to walking through the corridors for a long time.

As for Vladimir Vasilievich, then, in my opinion, he was influenced by the reflections (of light) of the legendary history and of the Moscow power, - as well as by the process of charming.
