My personal attention was drawn to the news about Elon Musk's participation in the Mar-a-Lago dinner party.

This message, firstly, allowed me to assume that some of Elon Musk's ideas (developments, inventions) were used in the recent events in Venezuela, and secondly, it reminded me of the recent extensive information (about plans and results) provided by the leadership of the Russian Academy of Sciences at a very high level.
It can be assumed that Elon Musk is among those whose activities have led to the results of (after) the recent events in Venezuela.
The general public can assume and directly see the widespread use of scientific ideas (developments) in the practical activities of states.
It is quite possible that there is even an implicit scientific competition between different states. Certain achievements are used in practice, in specific political actions, and the general public can see, directly or indirectly, the effect of the use of the intellectual results of certain creative minds.
The question of the overall scientific attractiveness of a state is relevant.
Elon Musk was born in South Africa. "At the age of 17, Elon moved to Canada and enrolled at the Queen's University. Two years later, the young man transferred to the University of Pennsylvania in the USA." From this brief biographical information, we can conclude that the United States has the greatest intellectual attractiveness (that is, attractiveness to creative persons).
The Russian Federation is also making efforts to increase the overall intellectual attractiveness, as evidenced by the practice of awarding mega-grants and raising the status of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation.
