Writer-6, NLP, miracles of Politburo. Essay on the history of modern Russial "literature".
I accidentally - for the second (2nd) time - heard (two hours ago) an interview with a woman professionally connected with literature.
The radio host addressed to her one of his questions:
- When did you feel that you became a writer?
- I felt that I became a writer when (then some answer followed).
IN RUSSIAN CULTURE the word WRITER has a special meaning. If the radio host calls this woman a "writer", then this woman joins a line of figures, including Tolstoy, Gogol, Dostoevsky ...
The national book market is destroyed, most books are published in minimal print runs, and this woman is able to live on royalties. Thus ... she is a successful writing individual, and her answers deserve attention. (There are secrets: I - many years ago - was buying books at airports (in special retail outlets), before going into the airplane cabin, when the flight was 2-3-4 hours long...).
- Is it true that your grandmother was Chernenko's right hand? [Chernenko - the one of CPSU leaders]
- No, there was a large volume of archival work in the Central Committee, she was among those who dealt with papers, analysis, archival work.
Archives - it is interesting. For example, the most famous Russial historian knew French, worked together with his young girl-assistant in the Paris archives and was considered the leader of Russial researches of the Napoleon epoch history...
Where in the Russian archives can be found the minutes of the Politburo meeting on the introduction of Soviet troops into Afghanistan? There is a some piece of paper with some obscure notes (inscriptions)... And there were many other miracles... Is there anything left in the archives (regarding these miracles) ? - after all, many great people worked in the archives, these people even had new dresses sewn before each CPSU Congress.
Perhaps there are some Politburo minutes about Vladimir Vysotsky left in the archives?
A successful literary figure talks about her childhood. Her childhood, it seems, was spent (in the summer) in comfortable conditions - in party and state institutions located on the banks of attractive water reservoirs (lakes).
Russian writers were characterized by such a quality as repentance (and remorse). The overwhelming majority of them came from privileged classes. Each of them expressed this repentance to varying degrees. Self-admiration, demonstration of one's privileged position and admiration for it (own privileged position) were not characteristic of Russian writers.
The girl became an adult woman and began working in the information department - but not in the Central Committee of the CPSU. Times changed, so she worked in some structural division of the Presidential Administration (90s).
What kind of people were there! (Who worked there together with her.) They were young, energetic, striving to change life for the better!
The radio host, who was asking questions, recalls an incident on the topic: he was talking to a high-ranking over a glasses of whiskey, and this high-ranking person complained about life for half an hour - the fact is that widely known famous person drank alcohol a lot. What? Was it really an alcoholic (alcoholizied person) sitting in the leadership chair? Did miracles really happen not only in the Politburo?
No! Madame can only remember the young, energetic, striving people, who were ready to change life for the better!
And no plot - like "Viy", "Dead Souls", "The Government Inspector" - arose in her creative consciousness? After all, she is a "writer". It seems - no. No similar plot has arisen.
But one incident made a huge impression on her. Something specific appeared in her intonation when she told about this incident.
Before the 1996 elections, a man appeared in the square in front of the building (where she worked together with the young, energetic, etc.) A man poured something on himself, lit a match and... disappeared.
Here was a human, and - disappeared.
And the young, energetic, striving to make life better - may be they tried to find out what had happened? Maybe there was some problem that needed to be solved in order to change life for the better?
Rather, it was a lesson - here is a human (he exists), and in a second the human disappeared. So, be careful when trying to make life better.
Russian writers were characterized by courage and timidity (caution) to varying degrees, but, nevertheless, a certain level of courage, of the ability to look at the situation critically, was present in each of them.
I had already heard all this (all this radio-interview), I had already listened to this conversation, so now I turned off the radio.
There were more opportunities in past to read foreign publications. I paid attention to a some foreign journalistic material. It interested me, I looked at who the author of the material was. The author of the material was an employee of a foreign magazine. His job title was "writer" (in Russian - 'писатель') (but it can be translated - from English to Russian - differently: an employee who writes texts for the editorial board of the magazine - on assignments from the editorial board).
I was surprised. Writer? But then I realized that many words (notions) have different (cultural) meanings in different languages and cultures.
And now there is also a writer-3 - an artificial intelligence.
So, a radio host, calling the interlocutor "writer", in order not to abuse the practice of NLP (of neuro-linguistic programming), will perhaps say: writer-1, writer-2, writer-3 ...
In order to distinguish different writers from each other.
