A rosy-cheeked, well-fed man with a large bushy beard entered the huge Premise for Common Public Heating number 125.
The Premise for Common Public Heating number 125 was filled with cots on which people were lying motionless.
Those who were lying closer to the entrance to the Hall, and whose faces were turned towards the entrance, recognized the newcomer. He was a professor of Imperial World Theory.
"Why are we so sluggish?!" the professor asked the audience loudly and cheerfully. - "Now we will arrange a disco to cheer you up!".
"Humanitarian mission!" - a whisper swept through the hall.
Two men in camouflage began to bring equipment into the hall.
"Patriotic, ideologically verified songs!" the professor explained meanwhile. - "The list of songs has been approved by the all-state representative body as well as the metropolitan one!"
A portable electric generator started working on the street. The equipment started making sounds.
"The song of an honored cultural figure of the Imperial World!" the professor announced.
The music started playing. The words were heard: "Fence (manipulate by a sword), dodge, dance, retreat!"
The professor of Imperial World Theory swayed to the beat of the song, setting an example to the people lying on the cots.
Finally, the audience heard the question: "Why not?" (It seems to be in both Russian and French).
A whisper went around the room: "Why not? Why not?"
People began to get up from their cots, covering themselves with blankets. They swayed slightly to the beat of the music.
The professor of Imperial World Theory cheerfully expressed his approval, "My thoughts are my steeds-jumpers! Moscow! The bells are ringing!"
The people continued to sway. The song ended.
The professor announced, "The next song is in honor of the New Year and other winter holidays."
The lyrics of the song "White, white snow, wind behind my shoulders ...!" aroused the enthusiasm of the audience. The swaying became more lively.
People shouted from the dancing audience: "Our Arctic! Our Arctic!" The professor nodded approvingly with his thick beard. There was a cheerful blush on his well-fed face.
"And now - slow dance, comrades!"
The music started playing, and the audience heard: "A dog named Buddy is missing..."
"We are not lost yet!..." one of the dancers said.
People began to lie back down on the cots.
"We haven't forgotten about you! We all speak our native language! We will come to you soon with new humanitarian missions! We will fly to you on a picket fence (shtacketnick) through all the post-perestroika borders at a speed of ten Rexes per second!"
The professor came out of the Premise for Common Public Heating number 125. People in camouflage uniforms began to take out the equipment.
At this time, a man entered with an unfinished bottle of locally produced contraband cognac: "I demand that the banquet continue!" There was a creak of cots in response.
